I was in a neighbors apartment some time ago and noticed the beautiful sliding door they had for their walk in closet.That is when I decided I had to have this too.Lucky, for me, the showroom is here in New York City.My partner and I went there one Saturday afternoon.The staff was very helpful. I had lots and lots of questions.So many, that a few more visits to the showroom were needed.Rozalia Kiss and were GREAT. I can't say enough about how patient and helpful they were.When the doors were ready, an appointment for the installation was made. The appointment was for nine o'clock a.m. It was mentioned that they might be a few minutes late on account of traffic and parking.They arrived at 9:05. HUGO and his team were amazing. They covered the floor and brought a vacuum cleaner for when the work was done. I thought it would take hours. About two hours for it to be completed.I wish I had another closet door to replace.The doors look amazing. I've received many compliments.YOU WONT' GO WRONG. YOU'LL LOVE IT,
Great experience and quick service! The only thing I may have done differently is get the sound proofing or muffling on my door for more privacy. Rozalia was an awesome salesperson and helped me with everything I wanted.
I recently managed the installation of a sliding door in our office to enclose one department that needed more privacy. The entire Sliding Door team, from sales to finance to installation, was a pleasure to work with. Their communication was clear and they provided follow-ups in a timely manner. The installation team came onsite, explained what they would be doing, completed the work and cleaned up afterwards. They also advised on usage and cleaning of the new door. Professionals all around. Great team! Will definitely call on them again if another door or glass wall project comes up.
Loved the process from beginning to end. They have a lovely showroom and experts to advise on selection of sliding door. Everything is custom-measured and custom-made. Floor-to-ceiling, regular/frosted/tinted glass, semi-soundproof. Takes a few to be produced and then expertly installed. We have 2 -- for living room and bedroom -- and it's like our 1BD turned into a 3DB. If you can afford it, do Sliding Door (instead of buying a premade separation which will not be an exact fit).
We had many doors installed in our apartment 10+ years ago; they've been a fantastic addition to our home. We only recently had a part of a door that had to be fixed; their repair team was incredibly professional. They went above & beyond to not only repair the one broken door, but to ensure the entire set of doors was working smoothly. Highly recommended.
Carlos and German were absolutely incredible. I was told the install would've taken 6-7 hours, and they were done in 3-4 max. German was incredibly experienced, and both he and Carlos were gracious and kind. They were thorough and clean, and they were cognizant of not leaving a mess behind, especially in my one year old daughter’s room.They needed to go get another piece and came back first thing the next day to finish the last 10 minutes of the install.
Although it took a long time, the doors were installed today by two amazingly clean and professional installers. The fitter got every measurement right and the bi-fold doors, (a new product for Sliding Door Co) went in like a dream. The doors look great and Wade the salesman at the Sliding Door Co. was great too. The only problem I had is that it took 2 and a half months for it to happen.

Kristi Kehoe helped me get started and although her office was in California the time difference didn’t cause any delay in communication.She was helpful and receptive to my vision and gave me some useful advice about my design choice.Installation day was also a breeze, my installer Jose Rivera was great, professional and efficient. Upon completion he informed me how to care for the doors and tracks. He also gave me a cleaning solution for the doors as well.The day after installation Kristi reached out to me again to make sure everything went well and that I was happy with the outcome.My experience with The Sliding Door Co. was amazing. This company is one of the stars in the custom architectural world of Los Angeles. Really extraordinary products & service - Elena (if you're lucky enough to get her as your rep) is the perfect combo of engineer, designer & client service manager. Though you can never get these 3 things in one person, she's got it all. The final sliding doors were outstanding and transformed the space. Stunning in quality, and the installers were professional, knowledgeable, helpful. Really impressive company. Will never consider anyone else. They should get an award from LA Magazine, Architectural Digest, the Mayor or all 3.
It's hard to explain how this company took a building product, sliding closet doors, that you never think about until you need new ones, and takes it to another level. We had four bedrooms with 8-foot-wide closet doors with the old, rickey sliding mirrors...right out of the '90's. There were lots of companies that still make that old style door but until we found The Sliding Door Company, we just couldn't find anything that was a clean design, a timeless look (we hate trendy) and commercial quality construction. We worked with Elena in the Culver City showroom and the entire experience was exceptional.
Sliding Door Co is terrific. Our new doors are everything we hoped for, both functionally and in appearance and quality. The delivery schedule was spot on; and the installation team, Marco Madera and Adrian Melgar, was excellent - on time, courteous, worked quickly and worked out a couple of unexpected difficulties, including removing a 70 yr old set of very heavy, traditional patio sliding glass doors that were completely stuck. And they cleaned up thoroughly. It was a great experience from the selection and ordering with Elena Palaci in the Culver City showroom, to the installation. I can't recommend Sliding Door Co more highly!
