Things to do in Carlsbad
Carlsbad is a coastal city located near San Diego. A notable tourist destination, this city has a Mediterranean-type climate and is home to a number of golf businesses. Carlsbad was incorporated on July 16th, 1952, and currently has a population of 114,746.
European settlers first encountered the native Lusieno people in this area in 1768. There were notable freshwater creeks in the area that allowed for a huge population boom, that escalated when a former sailor dug a well and began to sell water at the train station nearby. Because of this find for freshwater, the water in the area was tested and found to have the same chemical composition as water found in the Bohemian, a famous Czech spa in the town of Karlsbad.
